Covid Appeal

Project Director Vinay Kumar writes on 27 September,
"Loving greetings to you in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
"We hope you both are doing well. We too are safe by the grace of God.
"Though the lock down period is over, people are afraid to go out to work because the number of cases are on the increase every day. In our small district today 659 people got Corona and our state Andhra Pradesh is in the second place in India. Sad thing is that corona has now spread to the villages.
"This evening we distributed the groceries. We left out vegetables as they are expensive because of the damage caused by the excessive rain. Also onions rate increased 3 times. Price of oil also shot up. So we could give only 10 items this time.
"These are the items: Oil - 122.00 rupees, Onions (half kilo gram) - 24.00 rupees, Biscuits - 5.00 rupees, Chilli powder - 60.00 rupees, Wheat powder - 30.00 rupees, Washing soap - 16.00 rupees, Dish washing soap - 8.00 rupees, Garlic - 28.00 rupees, Eggs - 21.00 rupees, Salt - 8.00 rupees, Total -    322.00 rupees (about £3.50 per household).
"We included people of Burlavaripalem, Barrypuram, Hindu Burlavaripalem and people by the canal side. Totally 350 families got benefitted today. All were happy to receive specially the oil and onions.
"We thank you and all those who supported us in this noble work."
