From the November 2022 Newsletter - largely written in India by Project Director, Vinay

Dear Friends, Greetings to you in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Once again we are very pleased to write you about the work that we have been doing in Burlavaripalem and Barrypuram since May 2022.

Elizabeth - Ann Home: In the month of May 6 of our Home children wrote their 10th class examinations and we are very happy to tell you that Chintha Vijaya scored 546 out of 600 and also bagged a free seat in the prestigious Triple IT Government College in Ongole.

Some of the children outside the home

There are 37 Children in the Home, 13 boys, and 24 girls. We have taken 3 new boys and 3 girls this year. All of them are very much interested in their studies and work hard.

College Students: This year 6 students are perusing their college education. 3 are in the 2nd year and 3 are in the 1st year. All the 1st year students have opted for Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Computer science as they want to become software engineers.

Elderly People: There are 57 elderly people who receive a monthly help of 550 rupees (£5.50). They spend this amount for their breakfast for the whole month. They are all keeping well and have conveyed their heartfelt thanks to you all.

The Elderly gather for lunch

Elderly Lunch: 16 elderly men and women eat their afternoon lunch here. A few of them who are very old and lonely, are given food for the night too. All these elderly people are very poor, fragile, and needy and the afternoon lunch helps them a lot. So a big 'Thank You' to you all.

Mary Cuts the ribbon - the culmination of much effort

Elizabeth Ann's Memorial Day and opening of the Study Hall: We observed Elizabeth Ann’s 32nd Memorial Day on the 24th of August. It was a special day this year because we opened the new specious Study Hall, which was newly built. My mother Mary cut the ribbon and with prayer, we all went inside.

Girls in the new study room

Now the Home girls and other Children (nearly 45 children) from the village, including Hindu Burlavaripalem gather here every evening and study from 5:30 to 8 O'clock at night. Then we conduct prayer and provide food for all of them.

The new bicyles being awarded

Bicycles: We distributed 4 Bicycles on this occasion. J. Vamshi, who is doing his 2nd-year college studies got the bicycle. Among the girls, Vennella, Siri Valli, and Harika got the bicycles. When they received the bicycles, their faces were beaming with happiness.

Medical camp: We are conducting a medical camp every Sunday afternoon from 2 O'clock to 5:30 pm. The doctor comes on alternate Sundays, but the nurse comes every Sunday. At least 120 people from the village get benefits in a month.

Barrypuram: People of Barrypuram are doing well. When the School reopened in July, we provided all the students with notebooks, pens, pencils, slates, etc. Every Sunday, we visit them and spend time in the village. They need a footbridge and we have given an application to the Government authorities regarding this and we hope that soon they will take the initiative to start the work.

We along with Home Children and elderly people thank you for all your support.

Thank you, Best wishes, Vinaya Kumar, Project Director.

A word from Michael and Julie:
If any of you would like to help further in any way this would be fantastic:
FOR EXAMPLE,
£5 = 1 blanket for an elderly person.
£10 = 1 outfit for a child.
£5.50 = 1 elderly person’s breakfast for 1 month.
Please pick your favourite one or two or more! To help the dear Elderly or a Child.
It would be great if you could donate one as a gift OR You could set up a regular monthly gift by Direct Debit. This is like the lifeblood of the Charity. and helps to plan ahead.
God bless you and A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU ALL.
With love from Michael & Julie
