Cooking 85 kg rice

Greetings to you in the mighty and wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are glad to inform you that Elizabeth-Ann's 49th birthday celebrations as well as semi-Christmas programme went on very well today by God's grace. We praise God for His mercies.

I got up early in the morning by 5 O'clock and went to buy chicken and necessary vegetables.

I made arrangements to cook 85 kilograms of rice and 60 kilograms of chicken, dal curry, leafy vegetable chutney, which was sufficient for nearly 480 people. Out of this we took 30 packets of rice and distributed to the beggars and homeless people near the railway station in the evening.

The Elderly receive their blankets

We distributed blankets to the widows and elderly people. Dresses were given to Elizabeth-Ann Home Boys and Girls.

Pensions being distributed

Also we gave the pension to the elderly, widows and differently abled people.

Preparing for the 'programme'

We started the programme at 11:30 am. Mary did the opening prayer. Raju, my brother-in-law from Chittoor shared the Word of God and also said a few things about Elizabeth-Ann, her desire to come to India and also all the good works that are done in Burlavaripalem and Barrypuram.

Our boys and girls entertained the people present in the function by their dances.

Delicious food is consumed

At 2 O'clock in the afternoon, we started serving the delicious food and the people ate in batches till 4 O'clock.

We finished most of the work by 6 o'clock in the evening, except the cleaning of two huge utensils we used for preparing biriyani. We will do that tomorrow.

We did all this work collectively and the whole programme was a grand success.

Thank you all and everyone in the Elizabeth-Ann Charity for your loving and kind support.
